George Redding died from wounds on 23rd October, 1914, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 4th Middlesex battalion was part of 8 Brigade, 3rd Division that had arrived in France at the beginning of the war and had been involved in most of the fighting since then, including the Battle of the Aisne in September, 1914.
